Back in the early 1980s I was doing a series of TV spots for United Technologies and I talked them into a documentary "real people" style. I decided intentionally not to make a TV special but to make a feature, with music and narrator, and drama not common in TV docs. I am proud of his work and hope you enjoy it. David Hoffman. What I am presenting here is a rough cut of a never completed television documentary where I interviewed Internet big thinkers. The interviews were conducted in 2001. I place it on YouTube now hoping that it will be helpful to those studying Internet history. To see my other work, please visit www.thehoffmancollection.com.

I was doing a series of commercials for United Technologies and I talked them into allowing me to do these 2 minute "stories." They were suspicious but the results were very popular on TV. And these commercials, especially this one, were a lot of fun to shoot and direct.
