As per Income Tax Department communication dated 22.09.2017, Every Taxpayer is to update Income tax profile and change Email ID, Mobile number, Address and Bank details for effective communication between taxpayer and Incomke tax department on incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
Soon Department going to start online communication in case of notice, scrutiny or assessment (New Income Tax Assessment Module System) so that no need for personal appearance and this will become effective way to communicate anytime.
